Pic story of deliveryman for high-speed trains
Deliveryman Ma Tao hands over the meal ordered by passengers to the train attendant at Nanchang West Railway Station in Nanchang, capital of east China's Jiangxi Province, Jan. 19, 2020. Ma Tao, 45, is a deliveryman of on-demand food delivery service for high-speed trains. During the Spring Festival travel rush, Ma travels to and fro between the food distribution center and the platforms to deliver warm meals to the passengers aboard the train. As a food deliveryman, Ma Tao has to act rapidly and accurately. He must keep train and carriage numbers of the clients in mind so that he can take the meals to the correct platform before the train enters the station. Since the start of the Spring Festival travel rush this year, Ma and his colleagues would receive 1,500-1,700 food delivery orders every day. Ma usually has more than 30 delivery missions and it is normal for him to walk more than 20,000 steps a day. "Before I finished one delivery, I have to think of another delivery to another platform," said Ma. Ma tries his best to ensure the meals are well-packed and warm when he hands them over to the train attendants. "If the passengers we served are satisfied, our efforts have paid off."
